Updates Audience on Fiber Fast Homes Progress
Fiber Fast Homes’ CEO Scott Sampson appeared on Connected Nation’s podcast on July 11 to discuss the importance of pre-wiring new homes, building out the fiber infrastructure and how further collaboration in the industry will make fiber Internet the undisputed next generation of connectivity. He also provided an update on Fiber Fast Homes and its business and how builders and developers are embracing its business model.
Hosted by Grant Ahlbrand, Connected Nation is an award-winning podcast focused on all things broadband and is part of the Connected Nation nonprofit that believes everyone should have access to high-speed Internet.
On this recent episode, Sampson updated the audience on the progress Fiber Fast Homes has been making since the last time he appeared on the show in December 2023. He discussed how expansion in Florida and Texas is going really well and how the company is looking at additional markets for growth.
Sampson also touched on recent events he has attended or will be a part of, including his appearance on a panel at Fiber Connect 2024 on July 30 entitled “Build 201: Take a Chance on Me or Creating Demand and Mitigating Risk in New Markets” where panelists will discuss collaboration in the fiber Internet marketplace and how important it is to share ideas with other ISPs to help fiber to the home grow. He explained that fiber to the home is the next 100-year technology and how important it is to help everyone succeed in the market to proliferate its adoption through collaboration.
One key topic Ahlbrand focuses on with Sampson on the podcast is the need to pre-wire homes and communities for fiber Internet to drive future uses and applications of the technology. “I think we’re really looking at a future whereby you’re going to have to have high connectivity in the house and pre-wiring the house is going to be essential to make it work,” Sampson said on the podcast. “We need to be more astute and what can happen with the deployment of Fiber Internet regarding infrastructure. That will help with deployment and to drive this next generation technology.”
