Summary

With guidance and supervision, the Field Technician will assist with fiber installation, troubleshoot and repair customer fiber and equipment such as ONUs and routers for high-speed internet service. This role will perform tasks including basic functions supporting the construction of underground buried fiber systems. The Field Technician position may require heavy lifting and the operation of power tools, preparing sites, digging trenches, cleaning up rubble and debris.

Core Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Install and troubleshoot/repair customer fiber equipment for high-speed internet service such as ONUs, and routers.

  • Perform assigned duties in compliance with company policies, specifications and those applicable to the requirements of OSHA, FCC, NEC, and other local ordinances.
  • Participate in on-call schedule rotation which includes nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of appropriate testing equipment (e.g., signal level meters, fusion splicer, PON meter, toners, ohm meters, CLI detection meters, etc.)
  • Maintain daily records, logs, receipts, and other necessary documents.
  • Participate in scheduled on-call (stand-by) duties for providing technical support in repairing data connectivity problems and internet during non-business hours.
  • Maintain a professional and appropriate image with the community through appearance and demeanor.
  • Always drive in a professional manner.
  • Assists in pre-wiring and pre-installation activities.
  • Dig trenches and remove soil prior to fiber installation.
  • Blow fiber to vaults and customer premises.
  • Verify conduit locations, depth, and integrity.
  • Locate and mark fiber and conduit to protect our infrastructure and critical assets.
  • Recognize potential problems utilizing approved test and measuring equipment.
  • Obtain equipment and supplies needed for a job and keep vehicle stocked.
  • Keep company vehicle organized and clean.
  • May work weekends and overtime as requested by immediate supervisor to meet the needs of company and customers.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Willing to participate in on-call shifts that include nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience or combination of both.
  • Generally, requires 3+ years of field technical operations and/or network construction or related experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • A combination of both technical operations and construction experience is preferred.

Summary:

Outside Sales/Customer Experience Coordinator is responsible for providing white glove customer service to our subscribers. Through door-to-door sales you will be responsible for increasing the number of active Internet subscribers and managing customers as they onboard with Fiber Fast Homes services. You will provide customer service, account management, sales and ensuring retention and satisfaction of our customers.

This position will work closely with Marketing and Project Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell directly to customers via door-to-door sales
  • Upsell customer to faster service speeds
  • Maintain and comprehend knowledge of current product offerings to assist customers
  • Maintain Customer Account Management including scheduling set up & disconnect, customer scheduling and billing
  • Review customer feedback and find ways to improve the customer experience

Requirements and skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Door to door sales experience.

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fiber to the home construction within their designated territory. This individual must feel comfortable supervising a team consisting of both exempt and non-exempt employees. The Construction Supervisor will offer on-the-job guidance and support to employees. They will be responsible for managing financial resources and providing relevant information to finance, design, construction, procurement, emergency restoration, utility relations, and project management. This role will perform tasks that may involve physical labor and basic functions supporting the construction of underground buried fiber systems. Some travel is required.

  • Obtain bids, hire, supervise, and manage employees and contractors.
